  • description ACLS Courses (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    Description

    Advanced cardiac life support or advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) refers to a set of clinical interventions for the urgent treatment of cardiac arrest, stroke and other life-threatening medical emergencies, as well as the knowledge and skills to be learned in this course for the first time Student. A current AHA ACLS Provider Manual and a printed pre-test with a score of at least  84% is mandatory for a Full course.

    These courses require participant’s to have more than basic A&P Knowledge. Some understanding of rhythms and strips as well as Cardiac care and associated drugs and treatments in emergent situations along with post resuscitative care. The patient focus is on Adults. For these courses the general participants include but not limited to : Doctors / ARNP / PA PMD / RN / RT / EMT etc.

    Target Audience

    Only qualified health care providers can provide ACLS, as it requires the ability to manage a person's airway, initiate IV access, read and interpret or have a good understanding of an ECG, and understand emergency pharmacology, these include physicians, pharmacists (PharmDs), dentists, advanced practice providers (PAs and NPs), respiratory therapists (RTs), nurses (RNs), paramedics (EMT-Ps) and other advanced life support EMTs (Advanced EMTs for example). Other emergency responders may also be trained.

    Part one of the online course must have been completed then printed and payment must be received prior to day of class. And have proof of a  current AHA BLS card.

  • description BLS Courses (Basic Life Support)
    Description

    Basic life support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until EMS and or full medical care at a hospital can be given. It can be provided by trained medical personnel, or qualified bystanders it is also referred to as CPR.

    These courses challenge the participant’s to act quickly as if there pants were on fire, every minute you delay CPR & defibrillation it decreases a victim’s chance to survive. Every one should learn HCP is for everyone who is Medical HS (Heart Savers) and are all non medical students FF (Friends & Family) is just that a friend or a family member who only wants to learn CPR to help others.

  • description PALS Courses (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    Description

    Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, the systematic approach to pediatric assessment, effective respiratory management, defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion, intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration, and effective resuscitation team dynamics and helps the provider lean how to manage the pediatric airway and helps in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.

    Target Audience

    Only qualified health care providers can provide PALS, as it requires the ability to manage the Airway during the stabilization and transportation phases of a pediatric emergency, in or out of hospital.

    HeartCode PALS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, E-Simulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students PALS knowledge and skills.

    With AHA Blended Learning, the skills practice and skills test are taken together during a Hands-on Skills Session after the student completes the eLearning portion online.

    This is the PALS Hands-On Session. You must order and complete the AHA PALS Heart code online session before attending this session. Bring your completed AHA PALS Heart code certificate to class.
Prices & Fees for courses do not represent income for the American Heart Association.
Late Registration FEE: If payment is received 7 days or less before class start date, an additional $25.00 will be applied (due prior to class). (Excludes BLS Courses).
Refund Policy: Written cancellations prior to start of any course will result in an administrative fee of $50.00 (advance level provider course) or $100.00 (instructor course). No refund will NOT be issued within 7 days of an ACLS or PALS course date.
Rescheduling Policy: There is an administrative fee of $50.00 (for advance level provider course) or $100.00 (instructor course). You have 45 days from the original course date to reschedule. If class has not been completed or rescheduled it will be treated as a new registration and payment for a new class will be needed.
Late Registration/Payment: If payment is received 13 days or less before class start date, an additional $25.00 will be billed (due prior to class). (Excludes BLS Provider Courses). Completion Card will not be issued until late payment is received.
No Show: There is NO Refund for no-shows. Student will have to register and pay for a new class.
Tardy Policy: Please make plans to arrive on time. Students arriving more then 15 minutes after class start time will need to reschedule. Required Course Materials: Students who come to an advanced class without the required materials (as outlined in the course confirmation letters) will not be allowed to sit for class and will be asked to reschedule.
Instructor Essentials: The Essentials Key Codes that are purchased along with Instructor courses are non-refundable. Heartcode: Heartcode courses include the online keycode. Because of this, these courses are non-refundable.
